FAQs on Balancing Short-term vs Long-term results

I'm currently obtaining a Drucker MBA at Claremont Graduate University to continue my education. It will help me achieve long-term goals and provide me with a new level of proficiency in my abilities. Simultaneously, I continue to run my business and assist clients with restructuring advisory and consulting in special and distressed situations. 

One of the most simple, built-in balances exists within my faith: the Jewish Sabbath. Finding the balance between work, family, faith, personal development and hobbies can be very exhausting. Something to center us back within every week helps to keep the values focused and the balance at equilibrium. 

At this stage in my life and career, I'm all about building. 

Thankfully, I'm building my family. 

Thankfully, I'm building my business. 

Thankfully, I'm helping to build my community. 

Thankfully, I'm building my pedigree with an MBA. 

All of these "buildings" are for the now. For me to live in and grow in and build in. But in each one, the building is also for later and thereinlies the balance. The building is setting a foundation for long-term results. The key to the balance is to make sure that short-term results are leading to long-term results.
